Hippo Motor Group

The Hippo Motor Group comprises of 5 award winning companies that cover all your needs from car leasing, finance, new and used cars and prestige cars. During 2019 Automotive Tools had the privilege of fitting out Hippo’s new Service Centre with all their garage equipment.

Working closely with the client from the outset we plotted the exact position of all the vehicle lifts onto the building plans using a CAD system. This let us make the best use of the space available whilst still adhering to health and safety guidelines for walkways and fire escapes.

The space allowed for 15 service bays with OMCN lifts and a Class IV ATL Lane.

The lifts included:

• 2 x recessed wheel free scissor lifts
• 13 x 2 post lifts up to 4 Ton capacity
• 1 x 4 post wheel alignment lift

We chose a variety of lifts to allow safe lifting of the wide range of vehicles Hippo have in their workshop. These vary from small city cars to 4 wheel drives and vans.

We also installed tyre changing and balancing equipment, compressors, a full air ring main, exhaust extraction and a waste oil pumping system to the external storage tanks.

Automotive Tools & Supplies Ltd have successfully installed not one but two workshop installations for us.

The first was in October 2013 at Trident Way, which incorporated 5 x OMCN 2 post lifts, and 1 x OMCN 4 post wheel alignment lift. Many items of equipment, essential for our expanding needs, were also provided. Tyre changers, wheel balancers, a workshop press, benches, vices, drills, a compressor, an air ring main and much more. All essential to cover the workshop and valeting bays.

We were so pleased with the level of service and professionalism that we, once again, called Peter and his team in for our next installation.

In February 2016, Hippo’s combined workshop and bodyshop was constructed on an additional site at Blakewater Road, Blackburn. Everything was once again completed on time and within budget as we have come to expect from Automotive Tools & Supplies Ltd.
